MTHFR MTHFR - A Variant Kathleen has C variant I have 2 copies of A1298C variant A-1 variant POSITIVE FOR TWO COPIES OF THE A1298C VARIANT From Dr Been video MTHFR Enzyme deficiency and Cardiovascular Health https://members.drbeen.com/library/mthfr-enzyme-deficiency-and-cardiovascular-health/SkrqnzZpn?utm_source=ActiveCampaign&utm_medium=email&utm_content=Brand+New+Video%3A+MTHFR+Enzyme+Deficiency+and+Cardiovascular+Health&utm_campaign=Brand+New+Video%3A+MTHFR+Enzyme+Deficiency+and+Cardiovascular+Health&vgo_ee=trxeIcxgKA8nnNJL5SsnoYhfywbeWPH8kXka5bYswAgiPfSnGw%3D%3D%3AJNl1Zd2urQEW5qJC1%2Ftld9i1YgpRCPx0 There are 24 possible mutations Most common mutation C677T - Cole has 1 copy and 1 copy of A1298C Next most common. I have 2 copies Cole has 1 Do I have high homocysteine? No Did not add question to video - maybe ask Thanks for the info. Unfortunately it isn’t pulling any pieces together for me, I have 2 copies of A1298C mutation, normal homocycteine (ref range < 10.4) tested 3x in past year 9.4, 7.2, 6.9. High (346) vitamin B6 (without supplementation). Normal B-12 (512) I’ve read that a MTHFR mutation can cause you to seem B6 toxic when you are actually deficient. Started all all these tests due to Long Vx (2nd hand exposure) 2 years ago. Clots? - not diagnosed and swelling went away with Ivermectin and natural anticoagulants. Lead to left leg weakness Nerve damage (perineal/tibial) never pinpointed where but close to branch. Drop foot and toe paralysis. Also developed hand tremors over time. Was put on Vedicinals 9 in Feb 2023. Left foot turned purple, Docs and I thought it must be doing something. harsh detox? Vein and artery studies showed no blockages in left leg Feb 2023. Upper leg suddenly weaker. Docs Kept me on it until June 2023 and was not getting better. Went off it AMA early July 2023. No improvement. July 20 started with Ayurvedic Doctor, herbs for tremor and circulation, Tremors lessened immediately. Also started taking 12KFU Natto 240K Serra. saw some improvement. Switched to 20K FU Lumbrokinase after 4 days for a few days - a week. Got worse. Back to Natto Serra. BOTH Feet freezing, bad color, purple, mottled skin left leg and both feet. Left leg very weak. Can barely walk. 8/4 Got Micro clots results (end of July blood draw) 3.5 out of 4 moderate/widespread. 8/6 Started 400mg pycnogenol and 12KFU Natto. 8/2 started revised custom Ayurvedic formulas. 8/9/23 PPG (Raynaud’s test) positive. capillaries in toes of both feet really blocked. 8/11 vascular studies on both legs clear. 8/11 ABI - OK. 8/11 Venous insufficiency a bit, but nothing concerning. When went for tests 8/11 very hard to walk even with Cane. Feet hurt and are freezing. Had some improvement in color and temp before 8/18 follow up with vascular surgeon still hard to walk but showed her video of better color.

In this talk, we will review folate, tetrahydrofolate, 4-10 methionine THF, homocysteine, s-adenosyl homocysteine, s-adenosyl methionine, and metabolisms. We will also go over the importance of the methionine tetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) enzyme deficiency and its association with cardiovascular system pathologies, and fetal neurological developmental abnormalities. We will especially look at the increased association with clotting in individuals with MTHFR mutated enzyme. We will also see the two common mutations and their high-level epidemiology. We will discuss how vitamins B6, B9 (folate or folic acid) and B12 can help reduce homocysteine levels.
